Boxing Class

ALL ages, abilities, and genders workout together in a class format rotating to the different boxing stations which include:

  • JUMP ROPE
  • SHADOW BOXING
  • SPEED BAG EXERCISES                                            
  • HEAVY-BAG EXERCISES
  • PUNCH MITT COMBINATIONS
  • DOUBLE-END BAG EXERCISES
  • STRENGTH AND CARDIO-CONDITIONING EXERCISES
  • STRETCHING AND COOL DOWN EXERCISES

We have families working out together with mom, dad, uncle, aunty and children.  No excuses to not workout...bring the kids.  This is a great great workout for EVERYONE!


PRIVATE LESSON (1 ON 1 INSTRUCTION)


Private lessons are conducted around our schedule and yours by appointment only. We do all of the above, AND MORE, but with individualized instruction conducted by USA Boxing Certified Coach Phil.  The gym will be yours to learn the SWEET SCIENCE or improve your striking skills..PRIVATE BOXING lessons can also be held at YOUR spacious location or gym for an additional charge. 


OPEN GYM

OPEN-GYM gives the boxer additional opportunities to hone the boxing skills that s/he has learned in class. Practice more on the heavy-bag, speed bags, double-end bags, etc. AT YOUR OWN PACE. Open-gym takes place on Monday and after every last boxing class of the day.

Looking to compete? BOXFIT808 is a proud member of USABoxing and offers competitive training  at the JUNIOR OLYMPIC (<17yrs), SENIOR MEN (17-34), SENIOR WOMEN, and MASTERS DIVSION (>35 yrs.) levels.  BOXFIT808 trains Olympic-Style amateur boxing and we compete at all Hawai'i amateur boxing events. We make sure our boxer's are conditioned well and have many sparring experiences before stepping into the ring at the competitive level. So, even if you are new to boxing we will spend our time to prepare you for competition during these training sessions, as long as your intentions are to one day compete.

Youth will become more self-confident at BOXFIT808 as they progress at their own pace.  Youth will gain strength, stamina, agility, coordination, balance and poise.  Youth will also learn through self discipline and perseverance, she or he can accomplish anything they set their mind to. . 


WOMEN-ONLY BOXING Weds. 6:30-7:30

WOMEN ONLY CLASS

These classes are designed for women-only who want the real BOXERS' workout without having to step in the ring.  You will learn shadow boxing, how to hit the heavy-bag, speed-bag, double-end bag, and punch-mitts.  In addition, you will learn strength and conditioning exercises boxers use to get in great fighting shape.  The BOXERS' workout at BOXFIT808 is an excellent way to burn well over 800 calories per session!  With proper diet, you are sure to lose those unwanted pounds, get toned, and fit while at the same time relieving stress.
